This article is written to customers who is new to glass cover panels.

Clients who is new to glass cover panels, may get confused for sample fees. They would ask such questions like“why would samples charged? Can i get free samples?”

In public’s mind, raw materials for glass covers just need to be cut simply. But why are there still several costs such as jig fees?

Today,we will explain it in detail.

1.Material costs:

Selections of different types of glass materials, such as soda lime glasses and high aluminosilicate glasses,or different brands of glasses (such as Corning, AGC, Southern Glasses, Panda, etc.), or AG materials that require surface treatment, will affect the sample costs.

Samples ordinary need 200% materials input to ensure delivery quality and quantity, cause its fewer quantities.

2.CNC jig costs:

The edges of glass cover are sharp after cutting. Thus,it needs CNC for edge and angle treatment. Also, different shapes or holes can be made according to the requirements. These treatments require a 1:1 base and grinding head, resulting in jig costs.

3.Costs on chemical strengthen:

Chemical strengthen ordinarily lasts for eight hours, with different materials and thickness of glasses need different strengthen parameters. It cannot be handled at the same time.
Electricity charges, potassium nitrate and other material costs will be produced during this process.

4.Printing Costs:

Each color and printing process matches a set of individual screen printing plate and and film, which are separate costs.

5.Surface treatment costs:

Surface treatments, such as AR penetration coating or AF anti-fingerprint coating, etc, will involve debugging costs and furnace costs.

6.Labour costs:

All kinds of labor costs will be produced from design, operation to quality inspection, to those who are participate in the sample production.

7.Working hour costs:

Each process requires debugging before formal production, even it may takes half a
day to debug for complex products, but production may only takes 10 minutes.

8.Packaging and shipping costs:

What’s more, samples need to be packed with double-sided coated, vacuum packed, carton or wooden box, and then delivered safely to our customers.

These are the basic clear costs of the glass cover panels during sample production.
We hope this sharing will help you understand the clear sample costs items.
