What are the factors that made this customer release consecutive orders to us within a short timeframe? Check out this story between GELIVABLE GLASS & our new customer.
We received an RFQ from this customer on 20th Nov via email with very specific requests for Gorilla Corning Glass & Seiko GV3 series ink signed off with their company name. Based on these details provided, we quickly ascertained that this customer specializes in smart home devices, which is our focus industry. Whenever we receive such RFQs, we are always filled with confidence, as it signifies an opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise.
Upon further communication with customer via our Singapore office, we noted customer’s pain points and their needs, and this is where our expertise can be of assistance to our customer. Let us deep dive into customer pain points and how we resolve them.
Issue 1: Silkscreen printing peel off.
Customer feedback that their current cover glass when used outdoors experience printing peeling off per below photos.
Such issue is not alien to us, as we have a vast experience in producing & supplying many such types of cover glass for outdoor applications. To remove customer’s doubts in our capabilities, we presented our know-how in the types of ink we used as well as the various test reports on Anti-UV aging. The information presented showcases our strength & know-how in Anti-UV silkscreen printing on cover glass, which guarantees that our printing will not peel even with prolong exposure to the sun. Per photo.
Issue 2: Light transmittance
Customer pointed out that their current cover glass has light transmittance thru the printed areas, per video.
We immediately showcase our technical skills in printing process, we ensure that no light transmittance coming from the printed areas if this is a requirement by the customer.
Issue 3:Cover glass is fragile & cracks easily
Customer on-hand cover glass made of Gorilla Corning 2.0mm just shattered when dropped from a height of 10cm, and they even show us that another model which is 1.5mm thick just breaks into half when bend with just a little bit of force. Per photos.
We justify to customer that the Gorilla Corning glass that we supplied can withstand a steel ball drop test. Our test consists of a 500g steel ball dropped from a height of 100cm onto the cover glass, and video of the test was presented to customer.
The 3 issues mentioned by the customer caught us by surprise, as being a cover glass specialist, these issues are not supposed to happen at all in the first place causing unnecessary stress & worries to the customers.
We provided documented evidence to remove the doubts & worries of our customer, who in turn issued us 3 POs without hesitation. With customer’s trust gained, we immediately jumped into action and deliver the orders within a week ensuring the parts reach customer’s end on time before the festive season for them to carry out their tests.
