When I came into contact with the glass cover industry two years ago, I only changed from the consumer goods industry at that time, and the whole concept has not been changed yet. In the past, for home appliance products, it often takes 2-3 months for customers’ verification of samples, and faster 1-2 months, orders were even placed directly for mass production of a whole container. After switching to glass, I deeply realized that difference in profession makes one feel worlds apart.Waiting for over one year, some customers finally gave the signal of mass production. What’s more, what we do are cover glass for industrial control, medical and other industries. Without a year or a half, it’s hard to have some progresses.
Since I joined the Gelivable team, I never met the customers who can realize the mass production within two months. How did the customer B come from?

We have an regular customer who has been cooperating with us since 2018. The quantities of orders per year are not large, but it has been stable. One day, the customer A introduced customer B to us. The email expressed that Gelivable is very professional vendor in custom cover glass of Corning Gorilla, so customer B can contact us directly for information and inquiries.

Through the introduction of customer A, I contacted customer B successfully and added the contact information. Customer B said that their product is a kind of smart wrench used in the auto repair shop. The protection panel of the display area has been using PC material before, which is very easy to be scratched. After the surface is scratched, the screen cannot be seen clearly, so the panel has to be replaced frequently, which is a headache.When I heard of it, and I thought that it was a chance.Many of our customers switched from PC materials to glass. And the panel design itself is not big, even if the switch to the scratch resistant performance of Corning Gorilla glass material, the overall cost will not be much different from the customer’s expectations.After the quotation’s giving,the customer was very satisfied and quickly put forward the sampling request. After submitting the sample, the customer’s test is also completely OK. I thought that I would have to wait a year or a half, but after 2 months, the customer’s mass production order was placed.

The main reasons for the rapid promotion of the mass production order are as follows :

(1) Customer A has helped establish a good trust foundation for us from the very beginning.
(2) The Gelivable team provided timely solutions to customer issues.
(3) Samples and quotations met customer requirements and expectations.

It is the concerted effort of a whole team, not just a single person. Thinking about problems from the perspective of customers, quickly put forward professional solutions, and that can be regarded as a qualified team.
