One thing that manufacturers in the custom-made industrial control touch screens know is that there is too much “trouble” from customers. This kind of “trouble” is reflected in the fact that customers do not necessarily understand products but have to discuss technology with you. Customer design has been changed, customer standards are too strict, and so on, some people think of this “trouble” as real trouble to avoid or resist, but some people observe the opportunity and create value from these “trouble”.
In September 2017, a customer saw the information on the medical cover on the official website, www.gelivableglass.com, and found Gelivable glass. He wanted to order a cover glass with AG effect, AF coating, whole black-printing and transparent white printing, which would be used on the display panel of medical devices. Although the process was difficult, the team had less than 2 weeks to hand in the samples. The customer who received the sample is also very satisfied. He has been praising how well the product is doing and how good the actual assembly effect is. However, he still wants to change the solution, that is, change the transparent area to IR black.
The customer changed the drawing, and soon the second sample was handed in. The customer is satisfied after receiving the sample but would like to try a new solution, that is, IR black area to white printing.
So, the third sample was handed in, and the customer’s reply was still: although……..
Thus, the new sample was handed in the fourth time,……
March 2018 the customer sent a new product demand and asked Gelivable to provided the samples. The customer’s design has a pain point but does not know how to solve. Originally, the customer’s product is used in operating large medical devices if he has been looking at the operation box to operate the instrument, cannot see the movement of the instrument at the first time. So he wants Gelivable to help provide a solution, even if he doesn’t look at the operating panel hand and not get out of the operation area.
The team gave a bold idea: digging the surface of the glass, during the operation, when the hand slid to the edge of the operating board, the grooves would give the finger a reminder. When the client heard the plan, it was very happy, and immediately agreed to our plan and instructed to make a sample.
But how? There has been no such case before. What shall I do? Gelivable didn’t back down, we custom-made special grinding head, special fixture, machine adjustment, pedestal and so on, after a few days of groping and efforts finally successfully made the slotted glass sample.
After receiving the sample, the customer was ecstatic: “Great!” Perfect! The plan must be correct for such an effect. We will push for mass production of the plan.
In the process of sample preparation for this customer, Gelivable put into lots of manpower, material and, financial resources. To tell the truth, so far we only won the customer’s praise and verbal commitment. But the team is happy because solving problems and generating revenue for its customers is its course of action. And we also always firmly believe that only for the customer to resolve the pain point, is the business opportunities.
