S is Korean client which owned a branch in Shanghai, we’ve cooperated well for several years. Generally speaking, staff from Shanghai branch place us order and we deliver gorilla glasses to Korea directly.
Last Jun,the branch informed us to provide 1000pcs gorilla glass of item A. But it wasn’t confirmed after we made several follow-up. Last week, the branch informed us of new order of Item B, also 1000pcs gorilla glasses, but there was still no response after we offered the proforma invoice. This situation never happen before.According to client’s forecast, it’s time to buy item A and B . What’s the matter?
Luckily, one of my colleague is the Korean nationality, we decided to contact the Korean office directly. We had to figure out the reason. An email was delivered and was responded the next day. The response is as follows “sorry, we forget to arrange this order because of the personnel change, thanks for your reminder, or it will cause the delay of product assembly ”
We learnt much from this case. Timely communication plays a big role in mutual cooperation, especially the positive follow up and thinking.
