Sell small glass and send a suction pen as a gift

A small glass of φ7.45mm is used in the medical equipment of the laryngoscope, and the glass should be kept absolutely clean.

However, the glass is too small, and the customer wears finger cots when assembling, which easily causes the glass smudges.Using tweezers to clamp the glass, the glass is possibly scratched, and it is also not convenient to assemble.

 

 

Therefore, we bought the suction pen and sent it to the customer,which avoided the stain on the glass surface and helped the assembly more convenient.

How to solve the “halo” issue of white printing

Before improvement: The white printed glass cover, when the LED transmits light, this kind of “halo” will appear around the icon, which gives the visual sense of blur and dizziness.

 

    

 

After improvement: firstly print 3 layers of white + 1 layer of gray on the whole glass rear side, then use laser to engrave the icon, and finally print semi-transparent ink on the back. This completely solves the “halo” issue and is more visually comfortable.

Solve a large cut-out hole glass, A new technological breakthrough

In the cases of large cut-out holes, Gelivable has been unable to break through all the time because the yield rate was almost zero before.

In August of this year, we tried two glass with large through-out holes again, one is 2.0mm thickness and 15 inches with a large cut-out hole of 8 inches. The other is 4mm thickness and 25 inches, with a large through-out hole of 24 inches.

After constant testing, the traditional process was finally broken.First, the shape of the edge was polished to solve the positioning problem during the secondary CNC machining, and then the holes were roughened with laser.Thirdly, CNC finishing the through-out hole and hole chamfering, and finally succeeded and won praise from customers.

To realize the feasibility of mass production of large cut-out holes glass, so that customers’ designs and product requirements can be met.

Change the package of glass testing sheets, customer can use it after unpacking

Corning Gorilla Glass, Dragon-trail Glass and other glass test sheets are specially provided for manufacturers such as AF potion. The packaging of the test sheets is medium viscous protective film. After the glass is cleaned and coated, the water contact angle on the glass surface is 40~50°. Usually, the customer will clean it before use or use plasma to reduce the water contact angle to less than 10° to do the AF potion test again.

Later, it was discovered that some customers did not have the equipment for cleaning or using plasma, so we started with the packaging and tested various low-viscosity protective films.With several failures, finally, we tested the dust-free paper packaging successfully. The glass is sent to the customer ,when they open the package, the water contact angle is within 10°, the customer could use it directly after unpacking.It saves the cleaning process before the customer uses it and saves the cost.

How to distinguish the printing surface without errors

There is a piece custom glass using Corning Gorilla Glass material that is printed in black on the entire surface, which requires laser engraving of a pattern on the printing surface.

When the operator is doing laser engraving,and the difference between the printing surface and the non-printing surface is very small, so it is easy to make mistakes in judgment.So a small amount of glass with the wrong position of the laser engraving flows out.

Later, Gelivable changed the screen printing plate. In the second black printing, the laser engraving place was hollowed out, and the printing surface had obvious small steps, hence, the printing surface and the non-printing surface could be distinguished at a glance. At the same time, the position of laser engraving is fixed ,which can avoid pattern position errors and reduce defects.

Change the hole design according to the actual use of the product

The original design of the customer’s drawing is: there is a step beveled hole with a diameter of 22.10mm, which can be processed by Gelivable, but the cost is quite high.

Later, we learned about the actual assembly structure of the product from the customer. Below the glass hole was a rubber waterproof gasket. The original design of the gasket was beveled, so the glass was designed according to the gasket.

But the gasket is flexible, and we recommended the customer: it can be adjusted as a through hole that can save costs, as well. At the same time, we made 2PCS samples for the customer to assemble and test.The customer’s tested result was good.

And then, the customer changed the design and saved a lot of cost.
