Let us conclude first. How many years of outdoor exposure to the weather can the Anti-UV ink withstand? The answer is 1,300 hours of ultraviolet aging test which is equivalent to  more than 5 years.

Since Gelivable developed Anti-UV ink in 2018, it has provided durable glass covers for use on outdoor equipment. Since then, we gain the trust & confidence of our customers. Till date only praises and no complaints.

1.The difference between ordinary ink and Anti-UV ink:

Ordinary ink: When used outdoors for a period of time, the ink will fade, crack, peel, etc.

Anti-UV ink: does not fade, crack or peel when used outdoors, and is guaranteed to last for more than 5 years.

2.Test equipment

UV Accelerated Weathering Tester, model:HT-ZW-1300S

3.Testing Principle

The UV Accelerated Weathering Tester can simulate the damage caused by outdoor sunlight, rain and dew for months or years. The tester exposes the printing ink to alternating cycles of UV light, controlled humidity and high temperature. It uses special fluorescent UV lamps to simulate sunlight, and uses condensation humidity and water spray to simulate dew and rain.

4.Test Conditions:

Lamp: Philips UVA340

Power requirement: 1.23W/m²/nm, TL60W @ 340 nm

Cycle mode: 8 hours of radiation, 2 hours of condensation, counted as 1 cycle

Number of cycles: 125 times, that is, 1250 hours.

Radiant temperature: 60°

Condensation temperature: 50°

Condensing humidity: 90°

5.Test outcome:

Gelivable Anti-UV ink has passed UVA340 (1.23W/m²/nm, TL60W @ 340 nm). 1300hrs test, the ink will not fade or peel.

6. Test Frequency

Collect samples of various printing inks and test them every six months.

7.Ink application

Farming machines, vending machines, ticketing machines in transport, medical equipment, smart homes and other fields.
